Our Process
Our finishes are applied with state-of-the art fine-finish sprayers and the highest quality paints and primers, to give your cabinets a beautiful long-lasting finish.
We start by taking steps to protect your home, which includes covering the floors, countertops and appliances. We also seal off our work space to keep dust from the rest of your home. Then we thoroughly clean the surfaces to remove any dirt and grease that may have accumulated over the years. After cleaning, we take the doors and drawer fronts off-site to give them a professional finish in our shop. Spraying them in the controlled environment of our shop produces a much higher quality finish than doing this inside your home. It’s more work to do it this way, but we feel it is worth it to achieve the higher quality, professional finish for your cabinets. Some companies will actually spray the doors in your garage or even inside the kitchen, but this method produces an inferior result.
Before applying the finish, we repair any major scratches and dents. They are then sanded, and a high-quality bonding primer is applied. We sand between each coat, and 2 coats of finish are professionally applied in your choice of color. It is important to note that most companies only do 1 coat of finish, but we believe 2 coats are worth the extra time and effort to achieve a high-quality finish and the extra durability for your cabinets.
